British Parliament Approves Lend-Lease Act September 11th, 2001
LONDON -- In a show of solidarity after horrific attacks on the United States, led by British Prime Minister Tony Blair, Parliament has enacted a "Lend-Lease" law giving Blair almost unlimited freedom in directing supplies, tanks, aircraft and ammunition to the United States.
"Our friends, the Americans, are in their hour of need. Fighter-bombers and anti-U-Boat weapons are direly needed by our allies across the Atlantic," said Blair at a press conference.
