W. House: Bush Did Not Overstate Intelligence To Enron January 11th, 2002
WASHINGTON, DC -- The White House is engaged in full-scale defensive manuvering, after an admission by accounting giant Anderson Consulting revealed that Bush may have severely overstated his intelligence to Enron executives.
Enron was one of George W. Bush's largest campaign contributors.
In a move intended to show they have nothing to hide, the Bush administration today admitted to dozens of phone calls to Enron honchos several hours long or occuring late at night, empassionated letters, assorted chocolates, gifts of flowers and that Bush shared a one-bedroom bungalow with Enron CEO Ken Lay for nine years.
