Oscar Campaign More Ruthless Than Presidential Compain; Bloomberg Considers Run

HOLLYWOOD, CA -- With Hollywood gearing up for its first local Oscars ceremony in 42 years, studios traded barbs of smear tactics in their campaigns for the award which can mean millions for a studio. Producers have reportedly spread rumors about Russel Crowe's character being a proponent of National Socialism.
    "The truth is, this industry is more dirty than even a respected political organization," said Robert Welch, entertainment reporter for the Washington Post.
    In New York, billionaire New York Mayor Mike Bloomberg has publicly announced he is considering running for Oscar. "It's a serious report and I think I can do great things for the Academy," said Bloomberg.
