Moseley-Braun Raises $1.50 Running Neighborhood ErrandsJuly 14th, 2003
CHICAGO -- Errant Democratic presidential contender Carol Moseley-Braun campaign staffers announced this week that the former Ambassador had raised nearly $1.50 in badly-needed campaign funds doing neighborhood errands.
Moseley Braun earned the money by cleaning gutters, moving lawns and sweeping leaves off of neighbor's yards. Spokesmen vigorously denied any quid pro quo, saying the money was needed to take on Bush. The cash windfall is a record for Democratic fundraising.
