WASHINGTON, DC -- Paul Wolfowitz, one of the key architects of the war in Iraq,
told a Congressional panel on Thursday that 500 US troops have died in Iraq.
"It's approximately 500, of which - I can get the exact numbers - approximately 350 are combat deaths," Wolfowitz said in response to a question from a panel member. He continued, "244 less than in reality."
The Pentagon later explained that Wolfowitz merely lives in another, more flattering reality and makes very important decisions in this world as if he were in that other reality.
