WASHINGTON, DC -- Vice President Dick Cheney and other GOP leaders have spoken out in recent weeks, calling for tougher national defense against 9/11 commissions and other 9/11-like commissions in the future.
    "These people cannot be appeased, they cannot be reasoned with," said House Speaker Tom DeLay (R-TX). "We need to be protected from these terrible commissions, and all the horror they wreak."
    "Imagine a commission like the 9/11 commission, this time armed with missiles from Saddam Hussein," said Cheney at a recent speech at Brandeis University. "It could unleash a day horror like none we have ever known."
