Bush Says 9/11 Commission Could Have Prevented Tragedy June 17th, 2004
WASHINGTON, DC -- A inquiry at the White House announced its findings today, concluding that the 9/11 commission should have done more to protect the nation from 9/11.
"The 9/11 commission met countless times, yet did little or nothing to prevent 9/11," said White House Press Secretary in a brutal rebuff of the committee's actions. "We can't suggest like committees like this should be allowed to operate in the future."
Bush praised the White House' findings, saying that "The 9/11 commission says it wants to protect America from terrorism. I don't see why a commission created about 9/11 could do so poorly in stopping the actual 9/11 attacks." A full report is expected next month.
