Edwards to Sue for Presidency July 8th, 2004
PITTSBURGH -- North Carolina Senator and now-Vice-Presidential candidate John Edwards may be readying to sue the Bush campaign for the Presidency, according to legal documents acquired by the Associated Press.
The former trial lawyer initiated the discovery process against the Bush campaign shortly after getting the nod from Kerry as his running mate. The move is an attempt to attain documents from the Bush administration detailing how it might have won the upcoming election.
Edwards categorically refused comment on any pending litigation, but said a settlement was "totally out of the question" at this point.
