    Superman planned to fly rapidly around the Earth, reversing its spin and turning back time so that the ailing actor could be revived.
    Scientists warned that reversing the earth's spin would cause all of the Earth's contents to fly off tangentially to its rotation. "Superman or not, this operation is dangerous," said Christian Schacht, a researcher at CalTech's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. "Basic physics predicts most of Earth's surface will be hurled into space by this procedure, and I have no idea how it's supposed to turn back time."
