Phillipines Threatens To Drop Lethal Weapon 4 On Rebels June 11th, 2001
ZAMBOANGA, PHILLIPINES -- "Bullets will fall like rain," promised Fillipino President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo of the Abu Sayyaf rebels who said they have killed one of their three American hostages. The terrorists have taken hostages before and this time the government promises there will be no comprimises.
Including, in a new move, dropping the big budget movie Lethal Weapon 4 on rebel positions, starring Mel Gibson. Arroyo swore, "You've been flaunting terror for long enough. Now it's time to meet Danny Glover."
The threat of dropping such a large bomb was so strong that even US President George W. Bush spoke out against it. "I'm an ardent proponent of the death penalty," he said, according to Reuters, "and I support a foreign policy defined by militarism, but that is just inhumane."
